CANCELLATION NOTICE

It is with regret that the Shoreham Village Foundation must inform our supporters of our difficult decision to cancel the 2020 Swing for Shoreham Golf Tournament.

Following protocol from the NS Office of Public Health in relation to the current COVID–19 pandemic, knowing the Chester Golf Club has been closed to the public indefinitely, and considering the present instability of the economy, there was little choice but to cancel.

The 2020 tournament would have been the 10th Annual and we have been looking forward to a celebratory event. Unfortunately, we will not be rescheduling it for 2020.

We are grateful for your past and ongoing support of Shoreham Village. On behalf of the Shoreham Foundation, we assure you we will endeavour to do what we can to enhance the quality of the lives of our residents and staff during these challenging times and are committed to keeping everyone’s health and safety at the forefront of what we do.

The Swing for Shoreham Golf Tournament is the Foundation’s signature annual fundraising event. Proceeds from the tournament go towards supporting Shoreham Village in delivering excellent care to its residents, ensuring they have the equipment and services they need to enable an improved quality of life for residents.

In the past, this golf tournament has funded new furniture and equipment for the Home as well as provided funds for updates and renovations. This past year, among other things, the tournament made possible many of the changes to the main dining room along with other needs to make it more comfortable and accommodating for our residents.

The event brings together sponsors, members of the community, and volunteers who are committed to raising funds to help us make a difference.

You can help with this initiative by volunteering, playing or by sponsoring a golf cart in your name (or a loved ones name). Golf Cart Sponsorship is $100. A tax receipt will be provided.
